Emily Steliotes, MS, ACC, GCDF

Emily Steliotes, MS, ACC, GCDF is master’s-level scientist, an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-certified coach (ACC), and a certified career development professional (GCDF). She has 5 years of experience and 270 hours of training in the fields of professional coaching and career development.

Her journey as a career development professional began in 2019 at the University of California, Davis as an instructor and mentor for the Career Discovery Groups program. Over the years, she has continued to support the career development of UC Davis students including as a consultant for the GradPathways Institute for Professional Development, a workshop facilitator for the Davis Alt Protein Project, and a mentor for the ESTEME (Equity in STEM and Entrepreneurship) program. She has also been a volunteer career mentor at her alma mater, Tufts University, for many years.

In July 2020, Emily pursued training through the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and launched her first career coaching business, College Iris, which was dedicated specifically to helping students transition from higher education to the workplace with clarity and confidence. In April 2022, Emily decided to close College Iris to focus on building a group coaching practice with the passionate and dedicated women at Golden Acorn.

Practicing what she preaches, Emily has built a portfolio career and personal brand that allows her leverage her strengths and incorporate many of her interests and passions. In addition to her background in career and professional development, Emily is an accomplished STEM and sustainability professional with experience in: food, health, and environmental sciences; corporate social responsibility and sustainable business; and data management and informatics research.
